Uxbridge Bruins remain unbeaten

It's still early in the 2025-26 season, but the Uxbridge Bruins are showing signs that they will be a dominant force in the PJHL's Orr Division. With four encounters under their belt, they are the only team in the division that has not yet lost a game.
Last Friday, playing in Georgina instead of their usual Friday night home game at the arena, they took on the Ice, who had a record of three straight wins. The Bruins allowed the Ice to take a one-goal lead early in the first period and then lowered the boom in the second period. Nolan Winter tied the game less than four minutes into the period, assisted by Tyson Lotton and Bensen Moore, and less than two minutes later Evan Gilbert put the Bruins ahead, assisted by Colin Glecoff and Ryan Shier. As the period wound down, Glecoff and Shier both assisted again as Jordan Bonner scored what proved to be the winning goal on a power play.
Georgina came back with one more goal early in the third period, but Winter notched an unassisted marker with three minutes left and Shier potted an empty-netter 30 seconds later for a 5--2 win.
Goalie Kevin Halloran, who has been impressive in the net so far, faced 29 Georgina shots, while the Bruins fired 37 at the Ice net.
The Bruins return to action at the arena tomorrow (Friday) night at 7:45 p.m. when they face the Schomberg Cougars, who have a record so far or two wins and three losses. On Saturday, the team travels to Little Britain to face the 1-5 Merchants.
