Township encourages residents to help Feed the Need

The Township of Uxbridge is joining communities across Durham Region this month for National Hunger Action Month, encouraging residents to help raise awareness and support local efforts to address food insecurity.

With the cost of food and other essential items continuing to place pressure on households, local food banks and community organizations remain an important resource for individuals and families in need. During Hunger Action Month, residents are encouraged to support Feed the Need in Durham by donating non-perishable food items or making a monetary donation.

The Township will be accepting non-perishable food donations at two local drop-off locations: Town Hall (51 Toronto St. S.) and at the Uxbridge Public Library (9 Toronto St. S.), between Sept. 9 and Oct. 5, during open hours.
