More advertising proposed for the arena

Roger Varley, Local Journalism Initiative Reporter

Chris Gilmour, acting arena and recreation manager for the Township of Uxbridge, presented council with a report recommending the placement of advertising on some of the glass panels surrounding the two ice pads at the arena.

Gilmour suggested ads be placed in two corners of each pad: in the northeast and southeast corners of Pad 2 and the northwest and southwest corners of Pad 1. He said the positioning of the ads would not interfere with spectators' view of the ice surface.

Advertisers would be charged $1,995 for one year for using two panels in one pad. Using two panels in both pads would have a yearly cost of $3,590.
