Council pay numbers for 2025 are in

Monday’s council meeting included treasurer Tobi Lee’s annual report listing the remuneration received by each member of council in 2025.

Leading the group is Ward 3 councillor Zed Pickering with a total of $64.025, followed by Mayor Dave Barton, who earned a total of $63,540. Ward 4 councillor Todd Snooks was next with a total of $60,885. Lee noted that the remuneration for Pickering and Snooks included extra pay for serving as deputy mayors. The lowest paid member of council was regional councillor Bruce Garrod, who pulled in $52,210. According to the report, council as a whole was paid a total of $403,803 in 2025.

Lee's report and recommendations passed unanimously without discussion.
