Bridge replacement closes part of Zephyr Rd.

Durham Region is advising residents of a road closure on Zephyr Road (Regional Road 13) to replace the Laurie Bridge, in the Township of Uxbridge.

According to a notice from the Region, the road will be closed from Conc. 5 to Conc. 6 from May 4 through to November 30 of this year.

The notice said the road is being closed to “safely replace the Laurie Bridge, install a new guide rail system, new pavement markings and complete landscaping.”

The notice also said that the Region realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
