Beat back the winter blues with the Greenbank Folk Society
If your own four walls are making you a little cabin feverish, get out and listen to some live music. The Greenbank Folk Society has just the balm. It’s welcoming Ian Tamblyn to the Greenbank Centennial Hall on Saturday, Feb. 21, starting at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 7.

Canadian folk legend and adventurer Ian Tamblyn offers an evening of songs and stories. With 45 albums to his credit, Tamblyn has been playing music and writing plays since the age of 17. A talented songwriter, his songs, including “Woodsmoke and Oranges,” have been covered by more than 40 artists. He has won several awards for his work, including a Juno award and nomination, songwriting awards and nominations from the Canadian Folk Music Awards.
The show will open with singer-songwriter Anne Walker’s blend of folk, country, ballads and blues that will engage your heart strings and sense of humour.
The Greenbank Folk Music Society offers some of the best folk music in Canada in a cozy and intimate setting that connects the audience with talented musicians and storytellers.
