Animal shelter holding microchip clinic

The Uxbridge-Scugog Animal Shelter is hosting another Microchip Clinic on Saturday, July 12, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Uxbridge-Scugog Shelter (1360 Reach St., Port Perry).

There is a $30 fee for the service and all proceeds from the clinic support the extra medical needs for animals in their care.

Those who are interested in reserving a spot can call the shelter at 905-985-9547 or email animal-shelter@uxsc.ca. Walk-ins are also welcome on the day of the clinic. Upon arrival at the shelter, all dogs must be leashed, and cats must be in carriers.

Along with the event, the shelter has been doing some spring cleaning and is offering a variety of gently used items available for a donation. All proceeds go directly toward helping animals in need. You may find crates, kennels, dog clothing, collars, leashes, harnesses, toys, and more!
