Accessible voting coming this election

In a report presented to council at Monday’s meeting, deputy clerk Emily Elliott outlined steps the Township is taking to make voting in the next municipal election fully accessible.

At the top of the list was the fact that voters will now be able cast their ballots via the internet. However, the Township will also set up fully accessible Voter Assistance Centres to provide help to those in need. The VACs will be set up at the Township offices, the Uxbridge Public Library, Goodwood community hall and the Zephyr community hall.
