Two Uxbridge seniors were honoured with awards on Monday for their volunteerism and contributions to the community. Kathy Clulow and David Richardson were presented with their awards in separate ceremonies.
At Queen's Park, Clulow was one of 18 exceptional seniors honoured with the 2025 Ontario Senior Achievement Award. The annual program celebrates individuals who have made outstanding contributions after the age of 65.
Clulow was recognized for her work revitalizing clubs, committees and community groups through her work with the Age Friendly Advisory Committee, the Uxbridge Seniors Club, the Uxbridge Probus Club and 100 Women Who Care. Her citation noted "when she sees a gap, she steps forward, taking on key roles."

“It was unbelievable,” Clulow told the Cosmos. “There are many others who do so much more, and to be one of only 18 seniors in Ontario receiving this award is do humbling.”
David Richardson was recognized in council chambers as Uxbridge's 2026 Senior of the Year. Richardson is the founding member of the Age Friendly Advisory Committee and for more than eight years has helped make improvements in the lives of Uxbridge seniors. It was under his leadership that the Communi-TEA sessions ran at the seniors centre until the program was shut down by COVID-19.
