Ryleepuss presents musical version of little-known L.M. Montgomery story

This summer, step back into 1926 and into the heart of the Canadian wilderness. To honour the 100th anniversary of L.M. Montgomery’s beloved 1926 masterpiece, Ryleepuss Productions is thrilled to present an original musical adaptation of The Blue Castle.
This production follows Valancy Stirling, a quiet "plain Jane" trapped by the stifling expectations of her overbearing family and a life dictated by "should-nots." When some sudden, life-altering news shatters her world, Valancy makes a courageous decision to finally live life on her own terms. Escaping to the untamed Ontario backcountry, she discovers a world of adventure, friendship, and an unexpected, rebellious love. Heartfelt, humorous, and soaring with an original score, this musical honours Montgomery’s most mature romance, reminding audiences that it is never too late to find the "Blue Castle" of their dreams.
To celebrate the 100th anniversary of one of the few pieces L. M. Montgomery wrote specifically for an adult audience, theatergoers are invited to a Special Anniversary Theme Night on Friday, July 10. Journey back to 1926 by dressing in your finest Roaring ’20s attire or vintage Muskoka "Deerwood" chic. To add to the evening's excitement, a special prize will be awarded to the best-dressed attendee.

This performance runs from July 3 - July 12, with matinee performances on Saturdays (July 4 & 11) at 2 p.m., and Sundays (July 5 & 12) at 3 p.m.
Evening performances are at 7:30 p.m. on July 3, 9, 10, and 11.
Opening night special on Friday, July 10: $20. Standard tickets are $30 (all-inclusive of taxes and fees). A group rate (10 or more) of $25 per ticket is also available.
The show runs approximately two hours, and doors open 30 minutes prior to curtain.
