Numerous possibilities presented for Centennial Park

At an open house at the township offices on Tuesday, residents were presented with preliminary suggestions of what Centennial Park could look like when it is redesigned to fit in with the plans of the Downtown Revitalization Committee.
Around the council chamber were several maps, charts and photo compilations giving an idea of what might be in the future. However, the displays were not actual proposals. Tom Fowle of the Environmental Committee said the displays showed "what might be proposed."
What might be proposed includes a children's playground, and several different types of playground were shown, as well as a splash pad, an amphitheatre, sculptures, a boardwalk, lots of trees and a sustainable parking lot. A sustainable parking lot would see parking places interspersed with vegetation.
The final Master Plan for Centennial Park will be delivered to council in June.
