The Leaskdale Loop is a free, self-guided driving tour in and around the hamlet of Leaskdale, where visitors can discover a series of unique destinations, occurring on the second Saturday of each month, through to November.
Patricia Cherrie, spokesperson for the group, says the Loop is celebrating by welcoming five new stops.
“Now we have a total of 15 diverse, small businesses to visit, and we are only 15 minutes north of Uxbridge!”
The Leaskdale Loop offers woodworking, pottery, handcrafts, decor, antiques, flowers, historical sites, food truck, farm market fare, seasonal produce, lavender, syrup, honey, preserves, Indian food and more.
“This small but mighty group of independent businesses was created to help each other out and bring visitors to our beautiful countryside,” says Cherrie. “We have encountered lots of challenges along the way: COVID closures, social media hacking, road construction, tornado and ice storm damages to our properties, etc. But we persevere and just keep going.
“The Leaskdale Loop is an opportunity to drive around and discover these special places. You’ll get a warm welcome from the Loopers who are all passionate about their products. And you will just feel good about all of the local, Canadian-made products.”
