Lane restrictions coming to Reg. Rd. 8

Durham Region is advising residents of upcoming lane restrictions on Regional Road 8 in the Township of Uxbridge.

From June 29 to July 13, lane restrictions will be in place on Reg. Rd. 8 at Siloam Bridge, between Concessions 2 and 3, in Uxbridge. According to a news release from the region, the restrictions will be in place to enable crews to safely complete the final road surface paving and grading following the replacement of the bridge last year. Drivers should expect delays and plan for extra time when using Siloam Bridge. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.

The Region said in the release that realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
