Submitted by the Uxbridge Historical Centre
School is out, summer is in full blast, and what better way to celebrate than by heading over to support your local museum for some fun and learning!
The Uxbridge Historical Centre is open for tours from Wednesdays to Sundays between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., and open for office hours Monday to Friday, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Both township and museum summer camps will be taking place at the site throughout the summer, on Mondays to Fridays, beginning June 30.
Please note that the museum will be closed on Saturday, July 12, as well as on Canada Day, July 1, but the Uxbridge-Scott Historical Society Canada Day picnic will be happening on museum grounds between 12 and 3 p.m.
Saturday, July 5 is Kite Day at the UHC, beginning at noon. Make and fly your own kite!
Saturday, July 19, at 10 a.m., features an instructor-led book binding workshop, and at 2 p.m. there’s a Lego printing workshop.
