Downtown committee provides council with update

Judy Risebrough, project manager for the Uxbridge Downtown Revitalization Advisory Committee, presented council with a progress report on the UDRAC's activities.

She said the committee has four goals: Keeping the public informed about the committee's progress; supporting the sale of municipally owned property on lower Brock Street; working with the Accessibility, Age Friendly and Active Transportation committee on streetscaping; and developing a master plan for Centennial Park and updating plans for the heritage railway district.

Risebrough's report said that in the last year, the UDRAC has held a town hall meeting, hosted an exhibit at the fall fair, has set up information booths at the farmers’ market and recently attended the youth summit at Uxbridge Secondary School.
